“I just really felt like God sent me that baby,” the GRAMMY-winning rapper said.

Back in August, fans of Cardi B were shocked to learn the GRAMMY-winning rapper was expecting her third child with now-estranged husband Offset. But no one was as surprised as Cardi herself, as she recently shared with her over 165 million Instagram followers in a revealing live video on September 29.
In the video, Cardi told fans she underwent surgeries to have her butt injections and fibrosis removed back in January. The rapper said she took pregnancy tests before her surgeries, which came back negative. But after the procedures, when she went out on the road to promote her single, “Enough,” she knew something wasn’t quite right.

The “Bodak Yellow” rapper went to her doctor, thinking she might be around six weeks pregnant, but the truth was an even bigger surprise.
“So I’m talking to my OBGYN, and as she’s doing my sonogram, she’s like ‘Oh my gosh!’” Cardi shared in the video. “She said, ‘You’re not like seven weeks pregnant, you’re like 17 weeks pregnant.’”
Cardi, who shares daughter Kulture, 6, and son Wave, 3 with rapper Offset, went on to tell fans that after her doctor confirmed that she was pregnant during her surgeries, she began to worry about complications.
“Due to the fact that I didn’t know I was pregnant for a long time and I did all of that surgery and everything, for a long time I was a little bit afraid because I was like, ‘oh my god, did that ever affect my baby? I got a whole surgery and everything,’” she said.
Fortunately, everything worked out, and Cardi shared the news of the arrival of her daughter in a September 12 Instagram post she captioned, “The prettiest lil thing 🌸🌸 9/7/24 💖💖💖”
The birth came just weeks after Cardi announced filing for divorce from Offset, something sources say was “a long time in coming.” But while her marriage may be over, Cardi says she’s overjoyed at the surprise gift she received.
